女優としても活躍するタヴィ・ゲヴィンソンが主宰するティーン向けのウェブマガジン『ROOKIE』でのクリエイションが注目を集め、モデル、編集者、キュレーターなどマルチな才能を発揮するペトラ・コリンズ。写真は15歳から撮り始め、現在はニューヨークを拠点に、『VOGUE』『i-D』『ELLE』といったファッション雑誌をはじめ、グッチ、ブルガリ、アディダスといったブランドの広告写真やビデオ制作を手がけています。本書は、母親が撮った幼少期の写真から、これまで手がけた作品、そして自身の生い立ちやクリエイションに関するエッセイや現代美術家のローリー・シモンズやマリリン・ミンターとの対話を収録。雰囲気は異なりますが90年代のガーリー・フォトやソフィア・コッポラの系譜に連なるような女性らしい繊細さがあり、淡い色彩がロマンチシズムを感じさせます。SNS時代のフェミニズム／ガーリー・カルチャーを牽引するアーティストの記念すべき1冊です。英語版。
